Welcome to Mennie Drinks. These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between you (“the customer”) and Mennie Drinks / Mennie Consulting Limited (“we/us”) when purchasing products from our online shop.

Mennie Drinks is an independent publishing project specialising in small-batch zines, chapbooks, and literary print editions exploring whisky, cocktails, and bar culture.

Ordering & Payment
All prices are listed in GBP (£).
Payments are securely processed via Stripe through WooCommerce (or other PCI-compliant processors).
Once your order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if necessary (e.g., due to stock errors or payment issues).
Prices may change at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed.
Shipping
UK Shipping
Orders are usually dispatched within 2–5 working days.
Shipping costs are displayed at checkout.
Delivery times vary depending on Royal Mail service levels.
International Shipping (where available)
Delivery times vary widely by location.
Customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes, or customs fees.
Responsibility
Risk transfers to the customer once the order is shipped.
If your parcel does not arrive within a reasonable timeframe, contact us and we will investigate.
Returns & Refunds
Mennie Drinks produces limited-run print editions, often hand-numbered and printed in small batches.
Change-of-Mind Returns
Under UK consumer regulations (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), printed books and publications are exempt from the right to cancel once dispatched.
This includes:
- zines
- chapbooks
- printed anthologies
For this reason, change-of-mind returns on these products are not accepted.
Damaged or Faulty Items
If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you are entitled to a replacement or refund.
Please contact alex@menniedrinks.com within 14 days of delivery with:
- your order number
- photographs of the issue
- a brief description
We will replace the item wherever possible; if the publication is sold out, a refund will be issued.
Digital Products (PDF downloads)
Digital products are non-refundable, as delivery is instant and irrevocable.
Pre-Orders
If you pre-order a title:
- You may cancel before the item is shipped.
- After dispatch, the same rules apply as standard print orders (no returns unless defective).
Expected shipping dates will be listed on the product page and may be subject to small adjustments based on the printing schedule.
Lost Parcels
If your parcel is lost:
- UK orders are considered lost after 10 working days from dispatch.
- International orders after 25 working days.
We will replace or refund lost parcels.
If the edition is sold out, a refund will be provided.
In-Person Sales
Items purchased at in-person events or markets are considered final sale, unless faulty.
Copyright and Use of Content
All text, photography, design, and branding under Mennie Drinks are protected by copyright. Mennie Drinks and Glenfiction are registered trade marks.
You may not (without our prior written permission):
- reproduce, distribute, or republish content
- scan or upload digital versions of publications
- resell digital files
Small-batch print publications may be resold second-hand by customers (e.g., via eBay, Depop) as permitted under UK law.
Subscriptions (Print Collective)
If you subscribe via Substack, billing and subscription management are handled by Substack under their separate Terms of Use.
Print Collective benefits (e.g., receiving all print editions released within your active subscription window) are fulfilled directly by Mennie Drinks.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mennie Drinks is not liable for:
- Delays caused by postal carriers
- Damage occurring after delivery
- Loss due to incorrect addresses supplied at checkout
- Indirect or consequential loss
Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Privacy & Data
We only collect data necessary to fulfil your order (name, email, address).
Payments are processed securely via Stripe; we do not store payment details.
